Are you aged 16 to 25 and want to connect with employers in a career you are interested in?
We’ll pair you with a mentor who will help you build confidence and skills, explore career options, get CV and interview support, receive personal guidance and more.
Why should you get a mentor?
Having a mentor can make a big difference to your life. They can:

✅help you set realistic goals and stay motivated.
✅give feedback on your CV and interview technique.
✅introduce you to useful contacts and opportunities.
✅boost your confidence and help you believe in your potential.
Your mentor could come from a local, national, or even global business, such as Microsoft, giving you access to a wide range of perspectives and experiences.

How the process works

Tell us what career you are interested in! Fill out our short form.

Our team or a We Rise member from Essex County Council will reach out to you and ask more questions. This is so they can find the most suitable employer to mentor you.

We'll reach out to our mentors and select the best one for you!

We'll introduce you to your employer and your mentoring will start! Mentoring is all online at a time that suits you.

From providing advice on how mentoring works to introducing you to your mentor, our team will offer support throughout your time with your mentor.
