Our ambition is to ensure that all students achieve the best possible results they can, giving them a competitive edge when entering employment or taking their studies to the next level. 

Work Experience/Study Programmes 

Our Study Programmes combine a number of different components to equip you with a set of well-rounded skills for the future. Every programme incorporates a vocational qualification (for example an Extended Diploma), development of English and maths and work experience. 

All students will take part in at least 30 hours of work experience as part of their course. Some courses will require more substantive work experience of between 45 – 60 days. 

Apprenticeships 

An apprenticeship is a great way to gain a new qualification whilst getting the skills and experience employers are looking for. We offer apprenticeships in a number of different subjects, each allowing you to complete a training programme specific to your chosen career. 

Higher Education 

At University Centre Colchester there’s a wide choice of programmes available across our academic schools. We offer a unique learning experience, with technical and theoretical teaching embedded in our flexible full-time and part-time foundation and honours degree programmes, together with HNC/Ds, higher apprenticeships and postgraduate qualifications. 

At University Centre Colchester we are proud to have been awarded TEF Silver which acknowledges that we have exceeded rigorous national quality requirements for UK higher education.
