Victoria Lampard, On Screen Journalist and Presenter for ITV News Anglia
Find out how Victoria Lampard became an On Screen Journalist and Presenter for ITV News Anglia

Why do I love my job?
I get to visit places and meet people that I never would normally outside of my job. Every day is different. I could be filming Royalty one day, the next meeting celebrities, reporting live from a boat on the river or presenting the programme in the studio.
What did I love doing at school?
At school I loved Music and Art.

Childhood hobbies
I was a keen dancer growing up and would have weekly classes in ballet, modern and tap. I also learnt to play the piano and clarinet. I loved drama too and was involved in my local amateur dramatics group.
How to get into the sector?
Take an interest in what is going on around you. Keep an eye on the news. When you’re older, consider trying to get work experience in a newsroom and look to do a journalism course.

Related jobs
There are many different roles in our newsroom. While there are journalists like me who are on screen, there are many working behind the scenes. They may put together bulletins and do a lot of writing and editing. There are also Production Specialists who direct the programme, work on the sound desk and operate cameras in the studio.
