Why do I love my job?

The main reasons I love my jobs are firstly the people, the team I work with makes the job not feel like work at all, making the work environment chilled out and mostly stress free. Secondly, the opportunities we are provided here are very rewarding. Tiptree provides apprenticeships, forklift truck training, engineering training and the opportunity to teach newer employees on the machinery. As someone who was an Army Cadet, teaching is very enjoyable for me. Finally of course, you get to learn how to make not just jam but sauces, chocolate spreads and much more!

What did I love doing at school?

My favorite thing at school was football at break times with my mates but my favorite subjects were History and Geography.

Childhood Hobbies

Collecting action figures, playing PlayStation and playing Airsoft. (All of which I still do)

Career High

Having the opportunity to take part in an IOSH Managing Safely course, a globally recognized, health and safety course for managers and supervisors. I asked if there were any courses I could do to expand my knowledge and I was lucky enough to be put on this one. As a 19-year-old who had zero management experience to be on a course with people who had been working almost as long as I’d been alive was a strange experience, but I learned a lot of skills which I still use now.
