Job Title: Mural Artist
Why I love my job: Because it allows me to express myself, and the public and the customers I work for are always very appreciative and nice to me. Also, most of the time I am free to work the hours and the days that I want so it is very flexible.
What I loved doing at school: I loved playing football with my friends during the breaks. I wasn’t very good at drawing.
Childhood hobbies: Football, fishing, nature, video games.
How to get into the sector: It’s a very niche sector and I think the best way is probably to study art, although I never did that myself. I started slowly, drawing more and more and then started painting murals for free to get noticed. It helped me make contacts with various people and eventually got me my first jobs.
Related jobs: Graphic designer. Painter. Illustrator.
Career high: Getting published in newspaper articles.
