Our Stansted Airport College is the first of its kind in the country and offers a unique opportunity to get onto the first rung of the career ladder within the aviation industry. We have strong partnerships with a broad range of employers on the Airport site covering the many aviation related industries. Our employer partners are involved in the design and delivery of the curriculum, providing work placements and offering real job opportunities at the end of your course.

We have a purpose-built facility situated at the end of the runway and state-of-the-art resources, so that our students are used to working in a professional environment.

School leavers

From engineering and aircraft maintenance to aviation operations, hospitality and events management, our offer for school leavers covers many of the exciting industries within the aviation sector. Through our vocational qualifications and apprenticeships our courses are focused on helping students to prepare for their future career by providing a realistic working environment to learn in. We run dedicated progression events and have an experienced careers team to help young people make the right decisions about their next steps.

Work Experience/Study Programmes

Every student has multiple employment encounters throughout their course. This could include work experience or longer industry placements. Our work placement team have extensive employer contacts and work closely with students to find them meaningful work experience opportunities.

Our extensive employer contacts and apprenticeships matching service ensure we are able to connect the right candidates to the latest airport vacancies and provide support throughout the process.
