Harlow College

We are graded Good by Ofsted and have won awards for our innovative approach to learning. We are the first college in the UK to be given Apple Distinguished School status for our pioneering approach to the use of new technology. Our students get great results and progress to exiting careers via apprenticeships, higher education or leave us work ready to directly enter the workforce.  

Our approach is about careers, not just courses. We have productive links with a huge number of employers across all sectors. Our students gain real employer experiences to help them develop their employability skills, including work placements, talks from industry experts and visits to some very impressive workplaces.

School leavers 

Our broad offer for school leavers has something to suit everyone. From technical and vocational qualifications to apprenticeships or A levels, all our courses are focused on helping students to prepare for their future career. We run dedicated progression events and have an experienced careers team to help young people make the right decisions about their next steps.  

Work Experience/Study Programmes 

Every student  benefits from multiple  employer encounters  throughout their course. This could include work experience or longer industry placements. Our work placement team have extensive employer contacts and work closely with students to find them meaningful work experience opportunities.      

Apprenticeships 

Our extensive employer contacts and apprenticeships matching service ensure we are able to connect the right candidates to the best vacancies and provide support throughout the process.    

Higher Education 

There are opportunities for students to continue with us for Higher Education or to join us later in their learning journey. Our HE offer provides a more focused, personal experience than a university might.   

 Adult learners and Professional Qualifications 

Our provision for adults offers flexible opportunities with courses available both onsite and online.   Whether it is preparation for University through our access programmes, training for a return to work or to gain professional qualifications, we are on hand to help.

We offer a broad range of training and development programmes. Whether employers are looking for a fully certified programme or a short up-skilling session, we can develop a customised training solution meet an organisation's particular needs.
