Students will enjoy this demanding yet highly valued subject if they have enjoyed it at GCSE level and want a greater understanding of the role numbers play in our world. A good general standard of Mathematics and, in particular, good algebraic skills are needed for this course. Mathematics is of paramount importance to the physical and engineering sciences and very significant in the economic, social and biological sciences.
